1. Why does my website show up lower in the results?

The algorithms used in our search engine implementation looks generally for the search string you entered.

In general, if your site url contains the search string you entered or part thereof, your site has a higher chance of being closer to the top of the search results. Next in precedence would be the site title and then meta keywords. Remember that there's always a first and last place so even though your rank may be as high as others, it will then be sorted by alphabetical order as well.

2. Why aren't some of my website pages being indexed?

Our search spider tries its best to go through your site at least one level deep. However, some sites are so large (with redundant data and sometimes fake description) that it becomes impossible to index these sites without affecting the efficiency (particularly the search accuracy) of our search engine. Just to note, this generally annoys us and we discontinue indexing such ridiculous websites and deceptive practices. We're certain that genuine users that use our search engine will be happy that we're looking out for them.

Sometimes, the sites we index are geniune but are so extensive that the first page contains what we deem to be an excessive amount of links such as certain extensive shopping carts. In such a case, we index as much as possible but cannot guarantee that all are indexed.

3. Which sites works best with Search-TT.com

Sites that offer a good title, description and proper domain name on their index page with moderate linking are generally ranked highest because optimal accuracy can be achieved when indexed on our search engine.

4. Why was Search-TT.com created? There's already so much big search engines out there....

Search-TT "attempts" to provide links related to Trinidad and Tobago. Yes, you can use a large search engine to find many of the links we index but it may not be as convenient as using our system. In other words, it was created in mind for users looking specifically for something in Trinidad and Tobago, reducing the amount of redundant and misleading results provided by "international search engines".
